VLC media player has an amusing ability, to playback movies in ASCII art. so if you want to play videos in ASCII format just to do the following steps.

1.open vlc palyer

2.click on TOOLs

3.under tools section go to Preferences(Tools>Preferences)

4.Open the section “Video” section 

5.under “Output” select “Color ASCII art video output” from the drop down menu

Save it. Now play any video file to enjoy the ASCII art.

Fix Folder Options Missing in Windows Explorer

Are your Folder Options not visible under Tool menu in Windows Explorer? It is quite common to see this problem and if you are one of the unfortunate one, don’t panic! You can restore it back by following a few simple steps.

There are 2 solutions provided as below, you can choose either one of them to get this problem resolved:

Solution 1: Edit registry

1. Go to Run, type regedit then press enter.
2. Navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].
3. At right panel, look for a value called NoFolderOptions. Right click on it then choose Delete.
4. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].
5. Repeat step 3 to delete NoFolderOptions entry.

Solution 2: Change setting in Group Policy

1. Go to Run, type gpedit.msc then press enter.
2. Navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer.
3. At the right panel, look for “Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu”, right click on it then choose Properties.
4. Change the setting from Enabled to Not Configured or Disabled.

Hope this simple workaround will help you save some time for other value added tasks.

Everyone knows That when your windows computer shows the BLUE SCREEN (BSOD) it means that a virus has infected your computer or internal working of computer is at risk, this also comes when you are running multiple RAM's and of different frequencies...

Now here is a cool but dangerous Virus that shows the "blue screen of death" when you run it .. Copy and paste in notepad and save the file as "bsod.bat" .... Then put it on any computer and run it ... THEN you are done

How to lock keyboard

There are times when we may need to lock our keyboards. This may be due to security reason or to prevent accidental key strokes made by children present around. Toddler Keys is a small application that can fulfill this requirement with advance features.

Toddler Keys is a small freeware application for windows that allows you to lock keyboard of your desktop or laptop. You can also enable password locking hence preventing unauthorized access to your keyboard. After installation it resides in system tray and can be configured according to user convenience.

You can select to show password on the locked screen, automatically keyboard locking interval time, change the password and show pictures while the keyboard is locked. Once the keyboard is locked you have to type the password to unlock it.

Watch Star Wars Movie on MS DOS Prompt

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise first film which lead to worldwide pop culture phenomenon .This film is made into books, television series, video games, as well as many comic books and the film has got Academy award . I hope many people might have seen this movie , but if you have windows OS , you can watch again the whole movie !

Follow the following easy steps to watch Star Wars – in MS DOS version :

• Go to Start , then click on Run.
  In the Run box, type cmd and press OK
• This will open the open the MS command prompt window
• Within command prompt, type telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl [ you cannot copy paste , you Need to type :P ] and hit ENTER.
• Get ready to watch the lengthy replica of star wars in Black and White version !

This works in xp

• But If you are using Windows Vista, you need to enable Telnet to watch the movie.
• Go to Start/Run, type appwiz.cpl
• It will open the Add/remove programs window.
• Click turn windows features on and off on the side panel then check mark Telnet Clientand click OK.

Most silly bug in Window calculator ? 2-2 !=0 ?

 If you subtract 2 from the square root of 4 then the result is not 0 but -1.068281969439142e-19. Interesting is previously in windows XP the result was -8.1648465955514287168521180122928e-39. So that’s an update in Seven right ?

Step 1 : Open Windows Calculator.

Step 2 : Press the number 4 and apply Square root which gives result 2.

Step 3 : Now subtract 2 from the answer ie, 2-2 and press equals [=]

Shocking bug right ?

I learned that 2 – 2 = 0 but windows calculator has some different suggestion

What does this mean ?? Buggy Calculator all the way…

Obviously this is a simple bug in the coding. This bug is not present on any other calculator like online calculator etc. So it a bug in Microsoft windows calculator which they have overlooked for may years.

so i found a new trick which do not need any software. 
only you have to follow following steps

THIS TRICK IS FOR MOZILLA FIREFOX...

STEP1: OPEN THE DESIRED VIDEO IN YOUTUBE, MATACAFE, OR ANYTHING ELSE..

STEP2: TYPE about:cache IN YOUR BROWSER's ADDRESS BAR

STEP3: A PAGE WILL OPEN HAVING CACHE INFO.
FROM THERE COPY THE ADDRESS OF CACHE Directory FROM "Disk cache device" SECTION
IT WILL BE LIKE SOME WHAT LIKE
C:\Documents and Settings\.......\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\hc6pnitc.default\Cache
(SEE SCREEN SHOT)

STEP4: OPEN MY COMPUTER, PASTE ABOVE DIRECTORY ADDRESS IN ADDRESS BAR, i.e. NAVIGATE TO CACHE DIR.
THERE YOU WILL SEE MANY FILES.

STEP5: CLEARE CACHE OF UR BROWSER, NOW IN THAT FOLDER THERE WILL BE 4-6 FILES LEFT, RELOAD YOUTUBE PAGE AGAIN, N PLAY THE FULL VIDEO
U'LL SEE IN CACHE DIR. 2-3 MORE FILES ARE THERE. SO COPY THE FILE WITH LARGEST FILE, PASTE IN UR PC. N RENAME WITH EXTENSION .flv

DONE....

EVERY TIME YOU PLAY VIDEO JUS CLEAR CACHE N CHECK THE CACHE FOLDER, N COPY THE LARGEST FILE.

TO SELECT LARGEST FILE, JUS RE-ARRANGE FILES BY SIZE. N SELECT THE LAST ONE.

How to Change a File Extension in Windows

This post shows you how to change the name of a file extension in Windows. For example, you might want to change a file called mypage.htm to mypage.php, or myvideo.vob to myvideo.mpg. These instructions are  the basic process applies to most versions of Windows 

NOTE: Changing a file extension should only be done if you are confident it's the right thing to do. When you change an extension, one of three things is likely to happen:

1. It won't make any difference to how the computer deals with the file.
2. It will enable some programs to recognize and work with a file, while other programs may no longer recognize it.
3. It will not have any useful effect and the file will no longer open properly.

My Computer

The first thing to do is open Windows Explorer (or My Computer) and view the file you wish to change. We'll use the example of a file called MyDocument.rtfwhich we want to change to MyFile.txt. When we browse to the file it looks like this:

You'll notice that the file does not appear to have an extension — it's just called MyDocument.rtf. This is because Windows is set to hide extension names. Go to organize > Folder and Search Options, then click the View tab. Uncheck the box titled "Hide extensions for known file types" like so:

Click OK or Apply. Now you should be able to see the file extension:

Right-click the file name and select Rename (or left click and hold down the button for one second). Enter the new extension like so:

After entering the new extension, hit the Enter (return) key. Windows will give you a warning that the file may not work properly. This is quite safe — if the file does stop working you can always change the extension back (just make sure you remember what it was!).

It's also possible that you might get another message telling you that the file is "read-only". In this case either say yes to turning off read-only, or right-click the file, select Properties and uncheck the Read-only box.

If you do not have permission to change the file extension, you may have to login as Administrator. Another option is to make a copy of the file, rename the copy and then delete the original.

Note: Windows treats file extensions as case-insensitive, i.e. .RTF is the same as .rtf. However other operating systems do not, and will treat MyDocument.RTFand MyDocument.rtf as two different files. Therefore it is good practice to always treat your files as case-sensitive for maximum compatibility. This is especially crucial if you are going to use the files on the Internet. We strongly recommend that you get into the habit of using all lower-case letters for all file extensions.

How To Copy Texts From Command Prompt

Whenever you type some command in Windows Command Prompt, you might have once felt that if it was possible copy these difficult texts directly from the command prompt screen and paste it in my normal text editor.

Let’s say that you listed the files and folders available in the Windows folder and you wanted to copy some files and folder names in it. If you have been a newbie in command prompt world then you’ll definitely memorize it or copy it manually by typing each text. It might be easy for normal filenames, but if you are copying the filename with different text and capitalization then you are in real problem.

To get rid of this, I’ve a very simple trick you can use to copy texts from command prompt.

Load the command prompt window and load any directory by typing DIR command.

You may want to copy some portion or some text from the command prompt window. To select text, right click on command prompt window and choose Mark menu.

Hold down left mouse button and drag your mouse to select the text

After selecting the necessary texts press ENTER button in your keyboard or just use Copy shortcut (CTRL+C).

Now the selected text will be copied to the clipboard.

Try to paste it in any text editor; you’ll have the copied text ready for you.

Wasn’t that simple, I hope you’ll apply this trick in future and share this with your friends.

You can also copy and paste within the command prompt window, copy texts from any part of your Windows and right click on Command Prompt window, then click on Paste.

How To Delete Undeletable Files?

Sometimes it is not possible to delete files and folders in Windows OS. It is common now-a-days. You will get prompts like “This program is in use” or anything similar to that.

You can delete those files and folders easily by using Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

I tried it and I was successful. Make sure you don’t do any mistakes, because it is your computer and it will be your funeral then.

First find where the file is in your computer. Suppose if the file name is “imp.txt” and if it is in the “My Documents”, then the complete address will be,

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents

Write down this address in a paper.

Now restart your computer. When it boots press F8 key.

Now you’ll find Advanced Boot Options Menu.

Then goto Safe Mode with Command Prompt section.

Now computer boots in DOS prompt. Then type,

cd C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents

Then type, del imp.txt

Congrats, now the file is deleted!
