Back up Your Blog

Back up blog? is it important? Yes it's very important. Because we can't guarantee that our blog will exist forever. Lately, many blogers lost their blogs because of unpredicted fault . Few months ago I lost all of my blog (it'a about 10 blogs), but now I got some of them back. Since then I know how important to back up our blog. It's really frustating when your hard work suddenly lost. There is a free service website that allow us to back up our blog. It's name is blogbackuponline. They give us a space for 5 MB. Althought it's small but I think it's enough for us to backup our blog. If our avarage posted arcticle is 1000 character, meaning it can backup until 5000 title. It's for free version. They also provide more features for premium account. Just go to blogbackuponline and back up your blog there.

Editing YouTube videos for the iPod using a conversion tool

buy avs Video Converter
There are many interesting videos on
YouTube—a good pastime when you
have to commute every day. However,
the Flash contents of the YouTube
website cannot be loaded onto an iPod
without some knowhow.

You will have to download the Flash
videos and convert them into a file format
supported by the iPod. The free YouTube
to iPod Converter program undertakes this
task; it is available here
. Always use the
latest version (currently 3.1), because
older versions do not sometimes function
properly with YouTube due to possible
format changes. You can start the program
directly after the installation..
Now search for a video on the
YouTube site using your browser. Copy
the web address from the address line
of the browser using [Ctrl]+[C], go to the
converter and click in the input field for the
URL. Paste the address with [Ctrl]+[V]. In
the “Raw file” field, change the file name
suggested to the one you want. Change
the “Drive” setting to “Apple iPod”. Then
select the setting suitable for your iPod
model under “Configure". Click “Download
and convert”. Wait till the process is
complete. You can now transfer the
generated MP4 file to your iPod.

A tag cloud or label cloud for blogger is a list of all the labels used within a blogger blog displayed with style.You can see a demo of the Label cloud widget here on my site. This Tag Cloud Widget was originally developed by phydeaux3. I have just simplified and made it easier to install..

You can see a good implementation of this label cloud widget on one of our readers blog -Speak Media Blog.
First Of all Goto Your blogger Layout>Page Elements page and add a Labels Widget there..You can Do that using the Add a Page Element Option on that page.Label Cloud Widget For Blogger Or Blogspot
Choose to sort the labels Alphabetically when prompted.

<script type='text/javascript'>
var cloudMin = 1;
var maxFontSize = 25;
var maxColor = [0,255,0];
var minFontSize = 10;
var minColor = [0,0,0];
var lcShowCount = false;
// Don't change anything past this point -----------------

Orbit Downloader 2.8.8

Orbit Downloader, leader of download manager revolution, is devoted to new generation Web application downloading to make downloads more easier and faster. It is a free all-in-one downloader which can download any social media.

Version 2.8.8 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Downloading videos, Flash games, and large batches of files is greatly simplified with this freeware download manager, but Firefox users may have difficulty with integration.

Orbit's primary interface is bland, but the basic toolbar and info boxes guarantee everything is easy to find. Orbit shines with Internet Explorer integration. To get a media file, simply right-click a video or photo and choose Download from your context menu. Grabbing a Flash game is even easier. Hover over a Flash file, and Orbit displays a button for a fast download.

Fast and small are key traits of this application. It uses a bare minimum of memory, and downloads are much faster than with a browser alone. Where Orbit shines is its one-button simplicity for downloading multiple files on a site. From there, you can easily filter for file type. Orbit's numerous configuration options make it one of the more flexible download managers available.

Although designed to integrate with the IE, Firefox, Opera and Maxthon, we had great difficulty getting Orbit to work seamlessly with Firefox. We finally gave up trying to get the Flash download feature to work. Nevertheless, anyone downloading large numbers of files will find this freeware indispensable.

How can you make my blog load faster?

The speed at which your blog loads is critical to attracting more readers to your blog. If your blog takes a long time to load, many readers may leave your blog before they have the chance to read it. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help your blog load faster and attract more users:

Posts

Your blog's load time can be affected by the number of posts you display on your main page. You can easily edit the number of posts displayed of the main page from the Settings | Formatting tab. You can then select the number of posts you want to display on the main page. We recommend displaying 10 or fewer posts on the main page.

Third Party JavaScript and Links

For optimal blog load speed, we recommend using Google/Blogger widgets, JavaScipt and links. However, if you need to use third party JavaScipt and links, your blog will load much faster if you put all JavaScript at the bottom of your blog. If you have third party JavaScript and links in your sidebar, put them in at the bottom of the sidebar.

Images and Media

The more images, videos and other multi-media you have on your blog the longer it will take to load. However, images and other multimedia are important to attracting users to your blog, so it is important to optimize the load speed of your images and media. Here are a few tips to increase the load speed of your media:

  • Decrease the size of your images or use thumbnails that link to the full-size image.
  • If you use third party images, consider uploading them to Picasa Web Albums via the Blogger post editor.
  • If you have a large number of images to display, you can upload all your images (from a vacation or event) to a Picasa Web Album and link to the album in your post or sidebar.

Other suggestions

  • If you've added any custom CSS to your blog, make sure you put it at the top of the page.
  • The most important content of your blog that catches readers attention should load the quickest. To help you identify which items are taking the longest to load you can use Stopwatch. To use Stopwatch, enter your blog's URL into the text box and click "Start StopWatch". Stopwatch will then open your blog in a frame and will record the time it takes for everything on your blog to load, including images, videos, widgets, etc. Take note of the items that take the longest to load and modify them appropriately using our suggestions.

Here's A Quick And Easy Way To Solve Computer Problems

Author: Ted Croushore

Computer system is prevalent everywhere and in every aspect of life. Today, every small and big scale industries have taken up to computer systems to manage, organize and flourish their work, with speed, reliability and consistency. Although we depend on computer systems to a large extent for solving our problems, still we do not pay much attention about the problems related to the computers. A computer problem, unless encountered by a user, he /she do not realize what effects it could have on their lives. Dealing with computer problems could be both time consuming and expensive, if not the mental agony of the user.

Various reasons can lead to a problem in computer systems. Computer problems can take place due to the faulty handling by the user or by some other unmanageable factors or a combination of the both. The malicious programs, more commonly known as viruses, spy-wares or malwares, which hinders the normal functioning of a computer, mainly gets into the system, through the internet or file sharing between different nodes. The other factors like heat or magnetism, static electricity shocks or power fluctuations, extreme accretion of dirt on the hardware or knocking or dropping the hard drive casing, incorrect or crashed software or an improper computer handling reasons to several computer problems.

When a PC system is encountered with a computer problem, its normal working is affected and its performance is compromised. The computer making quiet grumbling noises, the operating system taking too long to startup or shutdown, menus popping out, computer showing no signs of power at all, applications not working properly, frequent hanging of the system are some of the symptoms that signifies that the PC system is facing some computer problem. Computer problem could be either because of a fault with the hardware or a fault with the software.

There are some steps that can make sure that the computer system functions free of any error by fixing computer problems. The subsequent tips are a fundamental guideline that can be used to keep the PC maintained to run efficiently, increase component lifespan and also help in reducing the overall likelihood of PC problems. The number one reason for computer crashes is hardware conflict. Each hardware device communicates to other devices through an interrupt request channel (IRQ).

A user should keep back up of all essential data. It is one of most crucial steps. It prevents the data from getting lost or corrupted, when the computer is in state of malfunctioning. These data can be later restored after fixing computer problems. A user should have an antivirus installed in the computer, which can fix computer problems like malicious threats and bugs. It is recommended that the installed antivirus should be updated. The registered software is usually less crashed, and a user should always use registered software, in order to run the computer smoothly. The various hardware components like Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, etc. should be kept clean. One should always keep the computer away from any magnetic fields. Thus when the computer is running out of problems one should get it fixed as quick as possible.

How Video Games Improve Your Education

Something that a lot of people don't believe, but it's true, is that video games actually bring benefits to people that play them, more specifically to their minds. There is more to these games than pretty graphics, good music and plots that emerge the player in the game's world.

1. Strategic thinking is improved by playing video games. When you play a game, you need to take decisions in advance and plan the next few steps that you're going to take. Playing games constantly allows people to develop their strategic thinking skills and these skills can be applied to real world situations.

2. By playing video games, your problem solving skills are improved. While you can say that about every game out there, video games are proven through studies to be improving the skills of solving problems. Almost every game out there has as a main focus a problem that needs solving in a challenging manner, provoking the player into thinking how to do it. By playing a single game, a player can have anywhere between a couple and a couple of hundred problems that need solving.

3. Eye and hand coordination are improved by video games. To test this, take a game controller and move the character inside the game. Maneuvering a mouse and a game controller ask for the same skills from the player.

4. Taking decisions quickly is something that is facilitated by video games. The impromptu situations is one of the factors that leads to this quality. Wherever you are in a game, you never know what will happen next, which makes it exciting for the player. If players want to win the game, they need to take the best decisions possible on the spot, without much time to think about it.

5. The imagination is stimulated when you play video games. People that argue that video games are bad for people are wrong and are usually limited in their imagination or never tried actually playing a game. One argument of these people is that games provide the things to the mind instead of leaving the mind to imagine things. The same people believe that a Lego set is all a kid needs to grow. We totally disagree with that. What a video game does for the player's imagination is truly great and it encourages him to dream more.

6. Exploration is encouraged in games. In RPG's for example, you need to go and explore the world ahead of you, seeing the unknown and learning about it. Opening a door and not knowing what you will find or the consequences of your actions encourages people to get used to exploring and learning.

7. Exercising the memory is also encouraged by video games. Players need to memorize the terrain, always knowing which way they should head next and what places offer the best rewards or the most challenging enemies.

8. Video games allow people to learn that actions have consequences. Every action taken by a player has a consequence and the player needs to live with it.

9. Endurance, dedication and patience are just a few of the things taught by video games. You can't finish a good game in a single day. The games that are most appreciated will usually take weeks to finish.

Video games offer a lot of possibilities to the mind of those that play them and listed here are just a few of them.

How does WiFi affect people health

Some fears and concerns have arisen in people's heads whether WI-FI is safe or not when is used in connection for a human being's health. Also these thoughts are stirred up by a recent BBC programme Panorama. At the same time some scientists have declared that they could not find any evidence proving that WI-FI causes any harm or damage to health. Well, we can now investigate this tricky topic in order to find out these proven and those unproven arguments.

Some experiments were undertaken to clear up this situation. Experiment with pupils` reading was performed in one of British schools. The BBC programme Panorama maintains that readings were 600 times below the government's safety limits due to WI-FI radiation. Also the BBC declares that a wireless networks radiation is three times higher than that of a mobile one. From the other side, authorities from scientific society say that the radiation from the laptops is very small. However, better not to encourage children use laptops in their laps when they go online for a long period of time. There is a hot scientific debate with arguments. But, as you know right though thrives on conflict. Now we see that though there is a small radiation from laptops. Then the investigation goes further and Panorama visited one school in Norwich. The experimentation conducted in that school revealed the difference between the WI-FI and mobile radiation. That means that WI-FI signal is three times higher than the beam of mobile radiation.

Let us identify what WI-FI actually means. WI-FI is such a system that uses radio waves of a very low intensity. In comparison with the just common microwave oven that every family has in their houses, the WI-FI radiation intensity is 100,000 times less than that of an oven. Furthermore, if you sit in front of your lap top and receive network by wireless connection for a year then you will have received the same amount of radio waves as that of talking on mobile phone for 20 minutes. So, there is no any evidence what type of radiation has more influence over people's health and life. But, we understand that the radiation does exist and we are curious to discover the way to calculate it.

This is rather a new area for scientists` investigation. That is why research in this particular direction is still proceeding. Taking into account that radio waves or WI-FI have been part of our lives for more than a century then we should already have found some notes or records with regard to any cases of harm, damage or any other negative effects that WI - FI can provoke. Here are some examples that have been represented to the public. The first person who suggested that low-level radiation has an effect on chromosomes or genetic material was a Professor Olle Johansson from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. However, Professor Will J Stewart from the Royal Academy of Engineering added that science explored that mobile phones` influence over health was negligible and thus assured that people should be calm. Regarding WI-FI, they work on another radio frequencies but the power is very low.

In conclusion, UK Telecom can suggest that opinions are divided into two opposite sides. One side is pro, another is contra. The truth is somewhere in the middle. But, alongside with this delicate issue there are many advantages of using WiMAX connection. This of course is another story and will need to be discussed some other time.
